Alana McDonough is originally from Chicago and moved to Tuolumne County in 2018. Her background is in Early Childhood and Environmental Education. Prior to joining Sonora Area Foundation, she was the teacher and director for Summerville Parent Nursery School. She is interested in community building, expanding educational opportunities, and supporting nonprofit organizations.
Alana lives with her husband and two children in Groveland. As often as possible, they are out exploring the many beautiful places in Tuolumne County.
