February is Scholarship Month at Sonora Area Foundation

Scholarship applications open on February 6, 2024.

Sonora Area Foundation offers more than 70 scholarships to graduating seniors who are pursuing post high school education, including trade school, vocational school, college, university and beyond.

If you have or know a graduating senior, please encourage them to apply!  The Universal Application for scholarships will open on February 6, 2024 and matches students with scholarship opportunities with just one application. Find the application link HERE

Scholarships Work!

Danielle Sartin is one of three recipients of last year’s Chimenti Scholarship.

Danielle graduated from Theodore Bird High School with a dream to work with cars, and the scholarship fund along with her hard work is making that a reality.

“I love University Technical Institute. I’m learning so much about mechanics. It gets hard at times trying to manage everything with a baby girl but I only have 6 months left. I never thought I’d have the chance to go to college but with everyone’s support I was finally able to achieve my dream.”
