Jamestown Family Resource Center

Jamestown Family Resource Center (JFRC) has helped students and families in Jamestown and Tuolumne County since 1998. Established by Jamestown School District through Healthy Start funding, the center has grown through support from groups like the California Endowment, Sonora Area Foundation, and First 5 Tuolumne County. Today, it works with public agencies, health organizations, and local nonprofits to identify and support children and families facing economic hardship, housing instability, or other challenges.
Each year, the center serves more than 300 people, providing emergency food and clothing, school supplies, counseling, and resource referrals. Services also include health, nutrition, ESL, and parenting classes. Staff connect families with specialists when extra help is needed and maintain ongoing partnerships with agencies including Tuolumne County Health, Child Welfare, Behavioral Health, Infant Child Enrichment Services, and the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center.
The center houses recovery meetings and community groups and supports students through trauma-informed training and after-school programs. By working closely with Jamestown School and local partners, the resource center helps children learn, grow, and succeed regardless of circumstance.
Community support ensures these essential services continue. Donations of funds and resources help the Jamestown Family Resource Center meet local needs now and into the future.
