Sonora Area Foundation (SAF) has established the Community Recovery Fund, designed to be a repository for donations to support Tuolumne County as we are experiencing the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and to aid recovery. Grants will be made from the fund to local nonprofit organizations, government entities and those providing charitable services to Tuolumne County residents impacted by the pandemic and/or shelter-in-place mandate.

One-hundred percent of the monies donated to the Community Recovery Fund will be granted to local organizations: SAF does not take any fees for administering the fund. In addition, SAF’s Board of Directors has announces a matching grant of $300 per donation as an incentive for community members to donate the entire $300 eligible for an above-the-line tax deduction in the recently approved government stimulus plan. However, any amount donated is welcome and will be put to good work in our community. Donations may be made in cash or by check, or by debit card, credit card or PayPal here.

Sonora Area Foundation recently made grants to the following organizations: Interfaith; Sierra Senior Providers, Inc. / Meals on Wheels; Nancy’s Hope; Give Someone A Chance; and Resiliency Village Project / Jamestown Family Resource Center.
